Maria Gomez married her lover’s brother to give the baby she carried the name and future she deserved. Now she is widowed, and her oldest child’s father—the only man she ever loved—has returned.
In prison for a crime he didn’t commit, Jefferson Bay never forgot the beautiful woman who betrayed him with his own brother. When DNA evidence proved Jeff’s innocence years later and he was released, he vowed to find Maria and seek his revenge.
The passion between the two has never died, but can they learn to trust each other again?
‘Tantalizing Maria’ is #7 in the ‘Temptation Saga’. The series is based around different members of an extended family. I have not read any of the other books in the series but this novel can be read as a stand alone. I had never heard of this series (romance isn’t really my thing) but I received this book in a subscription box and it had good ratings so I thought I would give it a shot.
Honestly, I don’t really have a lot to say about this book, so I’m going to make this a mini review. The POV alternates between Maria and Jefferson’s past relationship and present day. The characters are ok, nothing exciting. The romance is moderately steamy. The story is pretty good but very predictable.
This type of story is not really my thing. However, I would recommend this for those that are really into romance series, especially if you enjoy series where each book is a different POV of a recurring character.
